Candy CSC8DF-80 Condenser Tumble Dryer Shows E05 After 20 Seconds
I have checked and replaced the Candy CSC8DF-80 Condenser Tumble Dryer's NTC's resistance 2385 ohms front and 2525 ohms back measured at NTC and at PCB connection.Heater resistance 26.2 ohms again measured at heater and PBC connection. all thermostats show 0 ohms.Also swapped relay on PCB.Problem is heater comes on initially then we get a bleep and E05, all leds lit on front panel. Heater then turns off. Cycle continues with drum alternately turning clockwise then anti-clockwise.Any suggestions. I suspect a PCB problem. An expensive fix if I am wrong.

Good morning Tim, I'm happy to know you've checked the heating system. You mentioned that you've changed the relay on the circuit board, and now the heater turns on but switches off. The E05 error is linked to the NTC sensor. I've included an exploded diagram of the entire machine below, and there might be more than one sensor.
Also, check inside the drum to ensure the two bi-metallic bars that detect moisture in clothing are clean. These bars can give a false reading to the circuit board, as shown in the video below. This is a common issue people often misunderstand. If you set the tumble dryer to a timed cycle instead of an auto cycle, you might find that the heater stays on. This usually happens when one of the sensors provides incorrect information to the control board.
